Your Local Place Plan – What’s Been Happening?

Since our last update, we’ve been busy working to make our final engagements, whilst getting the wheels turning on drafting the LPP.

Nairn Academy

Last week, we met with the new S4M and S6 year students at Nairn Academy. We looked at what Nairn and Nairnshire needed to be more than an aging town and shire, and what key infrastructure and community outcomes should be prioritised for the future. This was a great session, which gave us the outline of a S4 and S6 vision for Nairn.

Community Consultation

Our community consultation phase was brought to a close with our final workshop – Sustainable Futures, which was held in the Nairn Community & Arts Centre on 16th May. Since then, we have been validating our evidence base whilst Planning Aid Scotland have been busy at the keyboard building the draft Local Place Plan.

Next Up

This week, we launch the graphical aspects of our Local Place Plan to support the words, preparing maps, images, and hosting to bring the Nairn and Nairnshire LPP+ to life. We are working hard to deliver the Nairn and Nairnshire LPP+ for community and statutory consultation mid-late July.

If you have a body of evidence that you want to submit but haven’t yet, whilst we are working hard on tying all of our details together, please do get that in to us as soon as you can at
